Job Summary

Aircraft Maintenance Technician III is a key role at Thrive Aviation, responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with a focus on airframe and engine repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on aircraft, components, and parts to ensure compliance with Thrive Aviation policies and procedures, manufacturer's manuals, and FAA requirements.
  • Overhaul, maintain, and repair airframe components, power plants, aircraft communication, navigation equipment, and associated components.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections and address any discrepancies found during an inspection.
  • Ensure that all parts removed from an aircraft are properly tagged and documented in accordance with Thrive Aviation policy.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations, including major component changes.
  • Assist in engine and/or APU runs as required.
  • Work in conjunction with the supervisor to oversee daily activities and provide support to Ground Operation Technicians.
  • Provide time estimates and assist with communication with other departments.
  • Train, mentor, and support Maintenance Technician I/II's.
Requirements
  • A&P License required.
  • 5 or more years of previous experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, with working knowledge and practical experience with aircraft in our fleet highly desirable.
  • College degree with applicable focus preferred.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and good project and time management skills.
  • Expert-level verbal, written, and computer skills, with a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Expert-level knowledge of 14 CFR Part 135 maintenance requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and company requirements.
  • Knowledge of safe working techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

The work environment will include a variety of climates, with some duties performed in hangar space that is not temperature controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be extremely loud.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform required duties.

  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to three (3) hours per day and sit for up to five (5) hours per day.
  • May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. to the height of 4 feet and up to 20 lbs. to a height of 7 feet.
  • May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • On occasion, must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
