Job PurposeThe successful candidate will be expected to teach core courses in our MPA curriculum, including public and/or nonprofit financial management, policy analysis, empirical methods, public personnel management, state & local government, and/or emergency management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach a 2/3 course load for the academic year
- Teach effectively at both graduate and undergraduate levels
- Successfully advise and mentor students
- Develop a strong program distinguished by high-quality scholarship
- Engage in service activities related to the department, college, university, and/or professional societies
- Ph.D. in Public Administration or a closely-related field prior to the commencement of the appointment
- Evidence of significant research accomplishments
- Commitment to effective teaching
- Excellent communication skills
Ability to teach one or more of the following areas: public and/or nonprofit financial management, policy analysis, empirical methods, public personnel management, state & local government, and/or emergency management.
