Telecommunications Project Manager

Job Summary:
As the Telecommunications Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of day-to-day field operations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. With a solid understanding of current construction practices, construction documents, costs, and budgets, you will develop and implement the project plan and schedule, ensuring safety and quality control, and delegate work to field staff, contractors, and tradespeople.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Oversee project safety meetings and promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Monitor construction schedules and ensure milestones and completion dates are met.
- Recognize and analyze scheduling issues and delays, supporting solution development.
- Implement and maintain project start-up systems and procedures.
- Coordinate change order management processes.
- Prepare for project close-out, collecting warranties, O&M manuals, and occupancy documents.
- Manage subcontractors on site, ensuring costs, safety, schedule, and quality expectations are met.
Requirements:
- One to three years of construction experience as a Telecommunications Superintendent or in a similar direct supervisory role.
- Solid understanding of current construction practices, construction documents, costs, and budgets.
- Ability to plan and manage project schedules, identifying constructability issues, and supporting development of solutions.
- Strong communication skills, interpreting stakeholder needs while leading and managing a diverse team.
- Proficiency in computer skills, with an aptitude for learning new programs, and familiarity with P6, ShareFile, QuickBase, and MS Office.
Work Conditions:
- Able to travel throughout the central United States as needed.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, involving sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions.
