Responsibilities
  • Deliver telecommunications-based projects in construction, dark fiber, lit transport, Internet service, and fiber to the home from creation to final delivery.
  • Ensure project delivery teams are executing according to planned project timelines.
  • Ensure customers are constantly updated on the status of their projects and delivery timelines.
  • Schedule project deliverables with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Host cross-functional project meetings to get weekly updates on project tasks and activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to retrieve updates and track projects and status.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure all project documentation is appropriately updated in data repositories.
  • Perform general data mining when required.
  • Learn and develop an understanding of all systems, tools, and processes that support the workflow of projects.
  • Suggest improvements.
  • Ensure that all projects are correctly invoiced.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation is in place properly and executed, such as MSA's, COI, Telecommunications agreements, etc.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on budget.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of Outside Plant (OSP) Telecom Construction and/or Engineering project coordination experience required.
  • 5 years experience in a project coordinator role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of life-cycle of fiber deployment from transport equipment to customer preferred.
  • Experience with GIS based software.
  • Experience with an enterprise project management software platform such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheets, SiteTracker, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and explain how you stay organized.
  • Must be able to articulate your expertise and manage many fast-moving projects concurrently.
  • Must be able to track and report on milestones, what milestones are at risk and why.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and personable.
  • College degree in related field preferred.
