  • Assist in Medical Procedures
    • Prepare patients for surgery, assist doctors during medical procedures, and monitor patients during recovery.
    • Administer medications, take radiographs, and perform EKGs as needed.
  • Provide Excellent Patient Care
    • Assist in restraining pets when necessary, and provide emotional support to clients and their pets.
    • Perform clinical laboratory procedures, such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, and urinalysis.
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Counsel clients on various aspects of animal care, including medication administration and follow-up care.
    • Explain treatment options and provide education on pet health and wellness.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment
    • Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
    • Properly clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces to prevent the spread of disease.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous veterinary experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
    • Ability to remain calm and efficient during times of high tension.
    • Technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
