Key Responsibilities- Assist in Medical Procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, assist doctors during medical procedures, and monitor patients during recovery.
- Administer medications, take radiographs, and perform EKGs as needed.
- Provide Excellent Patient Care
- Assist in restraining pets when necessary, and provide emotional support to clients and their pets.
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures, such as fecal flotation exams, heartworm checks, and urinalysis.
- Communicate Effectively
- Counsel clients on various aspects of animal care, including medication administration and follow-up care.
- Explain treatment options and provide education on pet health and wellness.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Properly clean and disinfect equipment and surfaces to prevent the spread of disease.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous veterinary experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during times of high tension.
- Technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Competitive Salary and Benefits
- $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
