Position Overview:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the Radiation Therapist engages in various patient care and administrative responsibilities associated with the delivery of radiation therapy to individuals undergoing treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs and constructs treatment aids and immobilization devices while executing simulation and acquisition procedures.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and interprets clinical data, ensuring rigorous quality control measures are in place.
  • Administers radiation therapy treatments with precision and care.
  • Provides instruction and guidance to students in the field.
  • Maintains a focus on patient and staff safety while fostering effective communication.
  • Participates in ongoing educational initiatives and staff meetings, ensuring compliance with certification requirements.
  • Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation:
Position Compensation Range: $59.95 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
Experience: No prior experience is required.
Licensure: Certification in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is also required.

Physical Requirements:
Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential. Attention to detail and legible writing ability are necessary. The role may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling weights. Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
