Overview:

StratITech Services LLC is collaborating with a prominent client to find a proficient Project Manager II for Enterprise Initiatives. This role is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of IT services and enterprise-level projects, ensuring the effective execution of intricate technical assignments across diverse functional areas. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of project management methodologies and change management practices. Strong facilitation skills for group discussions and the ability to deliver presentations to management are essential, along with a solid grasp of technical terminology.

This position entails managing multiple projects with budgets ranging from $2-$4M or higher. The role requires a high degree of visibility and influence within the organization, engaging with executives and various management personnel while leading cross-functional teams of up to 20 members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee one major or several smaller projects, ensuring timely completion of all project phases, identifying challenges, and documenting solutions.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure optimal allocation and commitment of resources to projects, managing deployments from planning through execution and post-deployment validation.
  • Communication: Conduct project meetings effectively, clearly articulating both technical and non-technical details, and facilitating negotiations across various organizational levels.
  • Leadership: Establish practical priorities, demonstrate urgency in problem-solving and goal achievement, and acknowledge the contributions of team members.
  • Scope Management: Provide guidance to project personnel, act as an advisor, and engage as necessary to meet timelines and resolve issues.
  • Business Knowledge: Gain familiarity with the company's business processes and continuously enhance this knowledge.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across various functions to ensure project success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, monitor, and report on project status, including milestones, schedules, scope, resource plans, action items, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Carefully track and manage project finances to ensure delivery within budget, developing total cost of ownership and monthly budget forecasts for enterprise projects.
  • Implement custom build projects from inception to transition, adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders and engage comfortably with senior management.
  • Respond flexibly to changes and take decisive action amidst uncertainty.
  • Utilize project management best practices, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies, discerning the appropriate application of each.
  • Manage vendor relationships, conduct due diligence, and oversee proof of concept exercises.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of technology and maintain a basic technology vocabulary.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager.
  • Highly proficient in project management collaboration tools.
  • Experience in defining and achieving organizational buy-in on objectives and success criteria.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decisions and facilitate consensus within a project team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project tracking and administration skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity operations and networking.
  • Experience collaborating with external and internal stakeholders across functions.
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, MS365, and project planning tools.
  • Direct experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to oversee project resources over extended periods.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is advantageous.
