Job Summary

Adelbrook Inc is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Instructional Support Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our educational program, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Support: Provide 1:1 academic assistance to students, helping them work on individual projects and assignments, and modifying instructional materials as needed.
  • Behavioral Intervention: Participate in school-wide and classroom-based behavior management, maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students at all times, adhering to individual Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and agency/school procedures.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and record student progress in academic, behavior, and social areas, reporting to teachers and supervisors as needed.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all student information, adhering to agency and school policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent, with successful completion of the School Paraprofessional Certification.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience as a child support personnel in a school setting, with strong behavior management skills and experience preferred.
  • Skills: Positive attitude, good communication skills, demonstrated good judgment, and ability to establish effective rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
