POSITION OVERVIEW


The technician is responsible for ensuring the correct installation and functioning of designated Astec products, which includes installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Technicians collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues while also training customer personnel on maintenance and operational procedures to maximize efficiency and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute installations under the guidance of senior technicians
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with clients
  • Ensure proper startup and operation of all electrical, electronic/control systems, and mechanical components
  • Provide operator skills training for selected customer staff
  • Create detailed field service reports
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with Astec sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Be available for emergency support to assist customers and staff at all times
To excel in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • High school diploma or GED with relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in HMA, Concrete, or Combustion Industries
  • Familiarity with electrical and electronic circuits
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and electronic blueprints
  • Willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Capability to manage conflicts and resolve issues constructively
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse personalities
  • Proficient written communication skills
