Job Overview:
z SofTech Solutions, INC is seeking a proactive and skilled Cloud Reliability Engineer SME.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Assess and implement effective systems design methodologies and industry best practices for enterprise-level deployment.

2. Identify operations, processes, transactions, data, and work products suitable for automation.

3. Diagnose complex design challenges encountered throughout the system development lifecycle and adjust specifications to enhance design features.


4. Utilize business process engineering principles to analyze requirements and suggest modifications to enhance functionality, cost-effectiveness, and quality of proposed applications.

5. Possess expertise and/or certification in Kubernetes, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

6. Demonstrate experience in technologies including container security, service mesh, zero-trust architecture, and container hardening.

7. Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with RMF control mapping, OSCAL, or other common security control mapping languages. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

8. Experience with ChatOps and AIOps tools such as PagerDuty, VictorOps, and DataDog.


9. Expertise in cloud-native solutions for monitoring and operations, including Cloudwatch, Azure Log Analytics, AWS Config, Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, GCP Cloud Monitoring, and GCP Cloud Logging.

10. Knowledge in cloud-native security, networking, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

11. Plan, design, deploy, and manage site reliability and automation capabilities for cloud products and services. Identify and address performance issues based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

12. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Architecture, and Development teams to create high-performing, scalable, and secure cloud environments.

13. Define requirements, document processes, and engage in research, planning, and the creation of supporting documentation.

14. Lead and coordinate project activities with other Security and Cloud personnel to meet or exceed project deadlines.


15. Prioritize project activities and ensure the successful completion of these tasks, providing updates on task status/results to the ITSD Task Manager.

16. Ensure system requirements are met for complex systems of varying sizes.


17. Provide expert advice and support on information/cloud security throughout the entire systems engineering lifecycle, from requirement specification and analysis to hardware/software design, procurement, development, integration, testing, operations, and maintenance.


18. Analyze, define, and recommend information assurance and security requirements to advance Information Security technologies for computing and network infrastructures.

19. Knowledge of continuous monitoring techniques (e.g., SIEM) to assess system security postures.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Experience:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of progressively complex professional experience specifically related to Information Security. Additional directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of education at the discretion of the hiring manager.
