3. Diagnose intricate design challenges throughout the system development lifecycle and refine specifications to optimize design attributes.


4. Utilize business process engineering principles to analyze requirements and suggest enhancements that improve functionality, cost-effectiveness, and quality of applications.

5. Demonstrate expertise and/or hold certifications in Kubernetes, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

6. Possess experience in container security, service mesh, zero-trust architecture, and container hardening technologies.

7. Familiarity with agile software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with RMF control mapping, OSCAL, or other recognized security control mapping languages.8. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) technologies like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

9. Experience with ChatOps and AIOps tools such as PagerDuty, VictorOps, and DataDog.


10. Hold expertise and/or certifications in cloud-native monitoring and operational solutions, including Cloudwatch, Azure Log Analytics, AWS Config, Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, GCP Cloud Monitoring, and GCP Cloud Logging.

11. Demonstrate knowledge in cloud-native security, networking, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).

12. Plan, design, deploy, and manage site reliability and automation capabilities for cloud services and products. Identify and address performance issues based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

13. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Architecture, and Development teams to create high-performing, scalable, and secure cloud environments.

14. Define requirements, document processes, and engage in research, planning, and the creation of supporting documentation.

15. Lead and coordinate project activities with other Security and Cloud personnel to ensure deadlines are met.


16. Prioritize project activities and ensure the completion of critical tasks while reporting status and results to the ITSD Task Manager.

17. Ensure system requirements are fulfilled for complex systems of varying sizes.


18. Provide expert advice and support on information/cloud security throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements specification and analysis to design, procurement, development, integration, testing, operations, and maintenance.


19. Analyze, define, and recommend information assurance and security requirements to advance Information Security technologies in computing and network infrastructures.

20. Knowledge of continuous monitoring techniques (e.g., SIEM) to assess system security postures.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of progressively complex professional experience specifically related to Information Security. Additional directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of education at the discretion of the hiring manager.
