A DAY IN THE LIFE
This position will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including:

- Providing financial support to Project Managers through the analysis of project revenues and expenses in relation to budgets, assisting in the preparation of estimate at completion (EAC) projections, and maintaining project forecasts in the financial management system.

- Preparing timely project invoicing for clients, including the review of billable and non-billable expenses.
- Completing new project and supplier setups in the financial management system, ensuring all checklist items are monitored.
- Engaging directly with clients and suppliers to gather information and resolve issues.

- Assisting with purchase order requisitions, ensuring they are recorded in the financial system, and processing vendor invoices for payment.

- Aiding in the month-end financial close process for the operating unit and collaborating closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and timely submission of accruals and expenses.

- Overseeing project controls effectiveness and collaborating with departments such as Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Legal to ensure financial and legal compliance.

- Working with the operations team on inventory management and documentation.
- Organizing and inputting data into the financial management system related to clients, suppliers, and projects.
- Standardizing and continuously improving back-office operations as business needs evolve.
- Assisting with various operational tasks as required.
- Demonstrating initiative and effectively communicating clear and concise information to cross-functional teams.
- Occasionally traveling to collaborate with team members in different locations.
Necessary Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of finance or accounting experience in a similar role, with fixed asset experience being advantageous.
- Familiarity with project controls, project planning, and knowledge of cost engineering or budget management.
- Experience with financial software is preferred.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
