Overview

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable and Collections Expert will oversee daily financial transactions to safeguard the company's assets, enhance cash flow through effective receivables management, and mitigate bad debt risks. Responsibilities include interpreting financial documents, evaluating customer creditworthiness, setting credit limits, managing liens and bonds, and supporting the monthly financial closing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Address disputes promptly, collaborating with sales teams and clients to resolve issues.
  • Manage significant accounts requiring personalized attention, including marginal and problematic accounts.
  • Conduct credit assessments for existing and prospective clients to adjust credit limits accordingly.
  • Evaluate new customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits.
  • Facilitate recovery of bad debts by monitoring potential write-offs and pursuing collections, including legal actions when necessary.
  • Track aging accounts closely and determine necessary actions for delinquent accounts.
  • Oversee the receivables portfolio to enhance cash flow and reduce exposure to bad debts.
  • Enforce payment terms consistently across the company's receivables portfolio.
