PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of this role encompass, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
  • Embody and reflect the GSR Vision and Mission Statement through daily operations.
  • Vision Statement: Strive to be the most esteemed hospitality and gaming establishment in the region.
  • Mission Statement: Our commitment is to excel in the hospitality and gaming sector by delivering outstanding value and service to our patrons, while actively supporting the communities we serve.
  • Deliver professional beverage service to all guests and cocktail staff in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Utilize the POS system to accurately input and process guest orders, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and any necessary change is returned.
  • Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in guest areas and equipment, including the removal of empty glasses and bottles, cleaning ashtrays, disposing of garbage, and maintaining floors and equipment.
  • Ensure the bar is adequately stocked and set up daily, including refilling chemicals, hand soap, ice, and beer bins as needed.
  • Engage with guests by responding to inquiries with a positive and clear communication style, providing accurate information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
  • Maintain consistent communication with both internal and external customers to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A combination of education, training, or experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and renew all required government licenses (Gaming Registration, Alcohol Awareness Education Certification).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules in accordance with the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry.
  • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Trustworthy and respected by peers, demonstrating integrity in all interactions.
  • Consistently displays courteous and respectful communication, presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While executing the duties of this role, the employee must maintain physical stamina and a positive mental attitude to work effectively in a fast-paced casino environment. Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, and moving throughout the casino, as well as speaking and hearing. The employee may need to reach above shoulder level, bend, squat, balance, kneel, lift, and push/pull. Occasionally, the employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
