POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to become part of our Food & Beverage team as a Bartender. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive exceptional service in a friendly and professional manner, contributing to their overall satisfaction. The Bartender is responsible for maintaining the bar's appearance and ensuring that service standards are upheld throughout the establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Embodying and promoting the GSR Vision and Mission Statement through daily actions.
  • Delivering professional beverage service to guests and cocktail staff in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Processing guest orders accurately using the POS system, including creating checks and handling payments.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of all guest areas and equipment, including the removal of empty glasses and bottles, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a tidy bar environment.
  • Setting up the bar adequately before, during, and after shifts, including restocking supplies and managing ice and beverage bins.
  • Responding to guest inquiries with a positive attitude and clear communication, providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintaining consistent communication with both internal and external customers to enhance guest service.
  • Completing any additional tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A combination of education, training, or experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to obtain and renew all required licenses and certifications.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on the operational needs of the resort.
  • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Integrity and respectfulness in all interactions.
  • Exhibiting courteous and professional communication at all times.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve common goals.
  • Contributing positively to the work environment and fostering teamwork.
