About the Position

Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Management (HIM) professional to join our team as an Assistant Medical Records/HIM Manager. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the organization, coordination, and direction of the Health Information Management department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of health information.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff on complex HIM issues, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow and resolve mutual problems.
  • Analyze and prepare detailed statistical reports to inform decision-making and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
  • Current registration as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) with the American Health Information Management Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a HIM department, with a focus on release of information, chart completion, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decision-making.
