Dermatology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dermatology Technician to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in the care of patients with skin cancer and other dermatological conditions
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including obtaining and recording vital signs and medical history
- Perform laboratory and histology duties, including preparing specimens for examination and processing tissue samples
- Assist with surgical procedures, including handling instruments and equipment, and maintaining a sterile field
- Provide patient education and support, including explaining treatment options and providing guidance on skin care and self-care
- High school diploma or equivalent required; LPN or medical assistant certification preferred
- 1 year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in dermatology or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
