About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatology Technician to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care and treatment within the dermatology department.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, non-physician providers, and other departmental personnel to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures.
  • Screen incoming telephone calls and refer patients to nurses, physicians, or non-physician providers as needed.
  • Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain patient records and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, obtain and record history and vital signs, and assist with procedures and exams.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment according to sterile processing guidelines.
  • Provide instruction to patients as directed by physicians, non-physician providers, or documented policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed to meet departmental and organizational needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum vocational/technical dermatology technician certification.
  • Six months of related work experience in a dermatology environment, preferred.
  • Successful completion of department orientation, skills competencies specific to the department.
  • Completion of Personal Accountability class within the first six months of hire.
  • Required to obtain certification or registration within 12 months of hire through organizations approved by Billings Clinic.
