Dermatology Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Technician to join our team at Billings Clinic. As a Mohs Technician, you will play a critical role in the delivery of patient care and treatment, performing laboratory and histology duties, and assisting with surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the care of surgical patients by performing the scrub role of handling instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare laboratory specimens for pathologic evaluation, including embedding, cutting, staining, and covering slides.
- Process selected tissue as directed by the Mohs surgeon.
- Record and review quality control data and case logs, utilizing performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.
- Assist with scheduling admissions, appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures, and surgery.
- Provide instruction to patients as directed by the physician or non-physician provider.
- Maintain patient files, records, and other information, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- High School or GED.
- 1 year work experience in the Billings Clinic Mohs surgical area, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Preferred: LPN or Medical Assistant certification.
