Neuro ICU Advanced Practice Provider

About the Role:
The Neuro ICU Advanced Practice Provider will provide direct patient care services for critically ill complex patients in an intensive care setting at Duke University Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in critical care and be able to work collaboratively with the Neuro ICU team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care services, including physical exams, data collection, and diagnostic procedures
- Order laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribe interventions and medications as needed
- Coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Contribute to excellence in patient care, research, and education
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Critical care fellowship training preferred
- Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB (PA) or NCBON (NP)
- Nationally recognized critical care certification for adult care (e.g., ACNP, AGACNP, CCNP)
- 1 year experience as PA in adult critical care setting or 3 years RN experience in critical care setting + 1 year NP experience
