Part-Time Patient Access Representative Associate

At Optum, we're passionate about helping people live healthier lives. As a Part-Time Patient Access Representative Associate, you'll play a vital role in supporting our team and making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients in person, providing a positive and professional experience.
  • Collect demographic and insurance information, ensuring accurate and timely registration.
  • Verify eligibility and benefits information for payers, interpreting results to ensure seamless care.
  • Collect co-pay or deductibles, responding to questions regarding financial assistance programs.
  • Use resources and tools to complete accounts in assigned work queues, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work 8 hour day and/or evening shifts, 28 hours per week.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Revenue Cycle Experience.
  • General office experience.
  • Epic experience.
