We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff by responding to needs and offering assistance.
- Proactively work to prevent theft and vandalism.
- May be involved in high-risk situations, requiring a range of safety precautions.
- Patrol designated areas, document daily activities, and provide excellent customer service standards.
- Assist in the control of potentially violent individuals, requiring strength, stamina, flexibility, and critical thinking.
- Work with potentially unpredictable individuals, requiring teamwork and communication with other security officers.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Actively participate in creating and implementing improvements.
- Valid Class D Driver's License and DMV record meeting MHealthFairview Insurability requirements.
- Must pass MHealthFairview background check and pre-assignment training within the probationary period.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Preferred: Hospital Security experience, two years of security or customer service experience, or an Associate's degree and one year of security or customer service experience.
