Job Summary

This is a challenging role that requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to maintain and repair equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing work orders, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete electrical projects, including design and installation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and correct as required, with the ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical devices in operation, dismantle and examine devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, and adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Set up and operate shop machinery, such as drill presses, grinders, band saws, cutting torches, and welders, using hand tools and pneumatic tools to modify or repair parts and equipment.
  • Install new or repair/modify hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.
  • Operate the cooling water system.
  • Research and order supplies, parts, and machines needed to complete work orders.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts.
  • Perform and document work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain and keep track of workload and assignments, completing and maintaining all required paperwork, records, maintenance logs, documents, manuals, drawings, etc.
  • Support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the company.
  • Follow applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines while performing any procedure.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing experience, particularly in electrical, mechanical, and maintenance fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a plant environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a plant environment with high noise levels.
  • Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, or manipulate controls, talk, see, and hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally handle up to 250 pounds.
  • Work environment includes many pieces of hazardous moving equipment.
  • Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area.
