Job Opportunity

Apicha Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist.

We are committed to providing high-quality, equitable, and culturally responsive care to our diverse community. As an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist, you will play a vital role in building and expanding our outreach efforts, educating individuals and families about health insurance options, and facilitating enrollment in the New York State of Health (NYSOH) and other minimum client program benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage with target populations.
  • Provide education and support to individuals and families on health insurance options and enrollment processes.
  • Collaborate with community partners to build relationships and expand outreach efforts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely enrollment of clients in NYSOH and other minimum client program benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on outreach and enrollment activities.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED with 4 years of working experience required.
  • Some college education with 2 years of working experience preferred.
  • Strong socio-cultural identification with the target population or experience working with the target population required.
  • Certified as a certified enroller within one month of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required.
  • Independent and good team player.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Fluency in one or more South Asian languages or Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stressful environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to use common office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
