Position Overview:
The Electrical Apprentice supports experienced electricians in a variety of tasks associated with the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems within commercial and industrial environments. The role entails ensuring that all activities adhere to applicable regulations and standards, while also assisting in material management, site organization, equipment preparation, and site cleanup.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
  • Transport materials and supplies to specified work locations as directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Prepare work sites by removing debris, establishing temporary barriers, and ensuring proper access for equipment and personnel.
  • Help with excavating trenches and holes for electrical conduits and wiring under the guidance of seasoned electricians.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of electrical apparatus, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
  • Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and tracking tools, equipment, and work areas to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Willingness to work extended and varied shifts as necessary.
  • Must acquire the minimum required tool set within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to work in all seasons and conditions throughout the year, including exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, bend, kneel frequently, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the electrical field is highly desirable.
  • Must pass pre-employment assessments (background check and drug screening).
  • Demonstrated attention to safety practices.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to obtain journeyman certification within 12 months after completing the apprenticeship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and possess strong communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
