Job Summary

The Warehouse Receiving Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our receiving and inventory management processes. This position will be responsible for overseeing the receiving team, managing workload, and holding team members accountable for their tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delegates and manages workload, ensuring that tasks are completed correctly and timely by the team.
  • Provides support and resources to team members as needed, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and information to perform their duties effectively.
  • Actively involved in daily receiving duties, ensuring that materials received are free from damage and that inventory is accurately tracked and recorded.
  • Communicates information to company stakeholders in a timely manner, ensuring that all parties are informed of any issues or concerns.
  • Responsible for completing vendor and transfer error reports, ensuring that any discrepancies are addressed promptly.
  • Prioritizes tasks and assignments, identifying critical and non-critical activities and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Schedules all incoming freight appointments to avoid conflicts and ensure sufficient staffing.


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position (4 years preferred)
  • Warehouse management system proficiency required
  • Warehouse distribution experience required
  • Management experience required
  • Plumbing and/or HVAC experience preferred


Physical Demands

  • Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
