Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Steward to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the daily kitchen utility operations and staff. Your areas of responsibility will include dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating and food running.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking, including dishwashers and kitchen helpers.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Oversee the ordering and management of necessary supplies.
  • Schedule events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain the productivity level of employees.
  • Participate in the management of department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
