Position Summary:

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as a key advisor on the financial dynamics of a specific Division or Staff functions. This role focuses on future financial performance, encompassing budgeting, market analysis, alternative business scenarios, and enhancing the quality of financial data to inform strategic decision-making. The FBP will provide expert consultation and guidance to elevate overall business performance.

Work Environment:

This position is office-based and follows a standard full-time schedule. Flexibility in start and end times is available, with core on-site days. Occasional travel may be necessary based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the comprehensive planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across a division or staff function, ensuring all inputs and drivers are accurately captured.
  2. Develop the annual financial plan, including budgets and forecasts, with support from an FP&A analyst team.
  3. Monitor and assess the financial performance of the division or staff function to align with strategic priorities.
  4. Oversee the monthly management reporting and analysis for the assigned division or staff function.
  5. Deliver timely and transparent financial updates and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with Senior Finance Business Partners and FP&A leadership to ensure accurate and prompt delivery of financial analysis.
  7. Ensure business leaders comprehend key assumptions and drivers impacting financial performance.
  8. Create business cases and conduct scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  9. Engage with internal stakeholders to stay informed on market changes and advise on potential business implications.
  10. Support ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACA, or ACCA are advantageous.

Required Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience in finance is essential.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in finance within the insurance sector or in strategy/consulting roles is highly desirable.
  • Global experience is a significant advantage.
