The Role

Moderna is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) systems. This role will be a hands-on leader actively involved in product design, delivery, and ongoing support. In this role, you will take pride in staying on top of the latest technology trends while delivering innovative and transformative Digital solutions to support Modernas EHS teams.

Heres What Youll Do:

Design, configure, deploy, and improve EHS software for key processes such as incident management, corrective and preventive actions, occupational health, and audit & inspections management Collaborate with business owners to translate business requirements into functional technical specifications Serve as a subject matter expert on all matters related to EHS systems architecture and provide root cause analysis for the support of technical issues Establish data governance processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading of key EHS data Evaluate software products and technology by performing technical fit and alignment assessments Provide strategic guidance to business teams to ensure business continuity of deployed solutions Keep up with relevant evolving technologies in order to provide recommendations and implement fit for purpose solutions for relevant user stories Partner with third party vendors to troubleshoot functional configuration issues to provide support for issue resolution Act as trusted advisor, helping the business make better, informed decisions by presenting relevant solution alternatives for key challenges; evaluate business and system impact of proposed changes Prioritize enhancement requests, in support of business objectives, and make recommendations on timing, costs, implementation and design Execute standard change management practices including impact analysis, testing, execution, and documentation Provide clear documentation for delivered solutions and processes, integrating documentation with the appropriate corporate stakeholders. Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelors degree in engineering, science, technology, or another relevant academic discipline Minimum of 8 years of experience working with EHS software systems Minimum of 4 years of Enablon end-to-end implementation project experience Technical and functional experience with Sphera Health & Safety Management (HSM) platform Strong functional knowledge of EHS processes such as incident management, corrective and preventive actions, occupational health, and audit & inspections management Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) Enablon certified (blue or above preferred) with experience programming in Nabsic Sphera HSM administration and configuration experience Familiarity with agile methodologies (i.e., Scrum, Kanban) and product management concepts Basic programming experience with front-end web technologies: CSS, HTML Basic to intermediate experience using Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence Quick learner. Demonstrate initiative and ownership Self-directed with effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
