Hematology/Oncology Position - Abingdon, VA

Permanent Placement Resources, LLC is actively seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified, Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Physician to become part of a well-established and stable medical group in Abingdon, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive healthcare community with an administration that values collaboration and excellence. The facility features onsite Radiation Oncology equipped with TruBeam and SBRT capabilities, along with an active navigation program and a dedicated American Cancer Society Resource Room. Partnerships with non-profit organizations such as Susan G. Komen and Cancer Outreach enhance the community's support for cancer care.

Support Structure:
The selected physician will collaborate with two additional Hematology/Oncology Physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The APPs are responsible for managing infusion services and addressing acute and symptomatic patients under the direct supervision of the physician team. A large and diverse support staff, including APPs, RNs, dietary personnel, navigators, schedulers, pre-certification, and financial teams, is in place to ensure comprehensive patient care. The practice encompasses a fully equipped infusion room and a standard outpatient oncology service. Pharmacy services are managed by a hospital-based team, including an oncology-boarded pharmacist. Specialists in Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Urology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pathology, and Radiology (including Interventional Radiology) provide additional support. A robust primary care network, with Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents training in the facility, further enhances the care environment.
