Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a clinical practitioner, you will coordinate and implement patient care plans, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care plans, taking into account the patient's age, medical history, and treatment goals.
  • Implement care plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Monitor patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
  • Certification/Licenses: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license. BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date. All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
  • Skills:
    • Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served.
    • Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care.
    • Communicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patient.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.
Work Environment

The Clinical Nurse will work in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated environment, with exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays. The role requires the ability to handle emergency/crisis situations, prolonged standing and walking, and heavy physical effort to position, push, and/or transfer patients or equipment and supplies.
