Key Responsibilities

The Audio Visual and Information Technology Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of AV and IT systems within the community center. This position will involve:

  1. Providing technical support for audio, video, and IT systems.
  2. Assisting staff and presenters with multimedia requirements for various events, including:
    1. Worship Services
    2. Community Events
    3. Meetings and Workshops
  3. Maintaining and troubleshooting PC hardware and software.
  4. Supporting network connectivity and basic troubleshooting for Windows Operating Systems and applications.
  5. Collaborating with Help Desk personnel to enhance user support.
  6. Overseeing the management of telecommunication systems and voice mail services.
  7. Conducting inventory and maintenance of AV and IT equipment.
  8. Working closely with the IT department to address technology needs and upgrades.
  9. Facilitating training sessions on AV equipment usage for staff and volunteers.

Collaboration and Communication

This role requires effective collaboration with various team members and departments. Responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging cooperatively with staff across the organization.
  2. Maintaining open communication with leadership and IT teams.
  3. Participating in scheduled meetings and contributing to discussions.
  4. Ensuring a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in Information Systems or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in AV and IT support.
  • Experience with club automation systems is advantageous.
