Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at National Vision, Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA.

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production departments, ensuring that production goals are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise production in various departments and ensure that production goals are met.
  • Track hourly production numbers at each work station and communicate with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is running properly.
  • Use late lists to track down old trays and expedite them through the lab.
  • Reduce breakage by reviewing broken items and implementing plans to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Review final inspection rejects and identify fixable trends.
  • Work with other department supervisors to resolve interdepartmental issues.
  • Submit daily reports on department progress and schedule work and vacation time for Bench associates.
  • Maintain performance records for Bench associates and review associate performance through HR's performance management system.
  • Assist the Production Manager with interviewing and selecting associates for manufacturing departments.
  • Oversee training by department Leads and cross-train associates to effectively perform at multiple stations within the department.
  • Update and implement department Policies and Procedures and enforce all Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associated degree or higher preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing production preferred.
  • 5 years of previous supervisory experience required.
  • Must be able to read or write English.
  • Beginner to Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel.
  • Sustained light physical effort required.
