Site Operations Manager

ASRC Federal Communications Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to oversee all support functions at Eareckson Air Station (Shemya AK). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse workforce of up to 100 employees, providing all services on site, and ensuring the successful execution of the Air Force mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Exercising sound business practices to ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and contract requirements.
- Guiding work prioritization and implementing cost-effective measures to execute work efficiently.
- Developing and implementing processes to effectively execute contract requirements, monitor progress, and enhance performance.
- Communicating operational activities to the program manager and government agencies.
- Directing and controlling activities to meet or exceed contract performance objectives.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, including delegating and completing maintenance orders.
- Providing technical and professional expertise, advice, and opinions on work of significant depth and complexity.
- Planning and formulating work plans, organizing tasks, and reviewing maintenance data to determine efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recommending courses of action and alternatives to avoid problems in the contract.
- Ensuring facilities meet government regulations, environmental health, and security standards.
- Responding to on-site emergencies and working with site personnel to complete complex maintenance and repair problems.
- Overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
- Ensuring project goals and contract obligations are met, and sound business practices are applied.
- Maintaining a positive and energetic attitude to retain and develop competent and productive employees.
- Reviewing proposed department purchases, financial transactions, and obligations.
- Managing and reviewing service contracts to ensure facility management needs are met.
- Conveying mission impacts to program management due to equipment failure.
- Managing site personnel in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Conducting employee performance evaluations and addressing employee complaints.
- Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
- Maintaining the company vehicle and equipment management and maintenance program.
- Providing leadership and commitment to environmental and safety performance.
- Supporting and implementing safety strategies and programs to reduce injuries and avoid losses.
- Maintaining a customer service orientation.
- Managing a production control service desk.
- Overseeing the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the customer.
- Degree in management, project, or business administration, or science/technical fields.
- Four years of base operations and support project, program, or operations management experience may be substituted for degree.
- Six years of managerial experience leading, managing, and directing a large multi-specialized workforce in the execution of base support services.
- Experience with the FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulatory guidance, laws, and requirements.
- Relevant professional qualification, such as CFM, will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Management principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid state drivers' license with an acceptable driving record.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
