SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role within our Maintenance team. Their expertise, hands-on experience, ingenuity, and analytical skills are essential to ensuring that the aircraft remain in a condition ready for flight at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of the fuel and hydrazine systems along with their associated components on F-16 aircraft.
  • Deliver training, guidance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services for the fuel and hydrazine systems at various maintenance levels.
  • Identify fuel system issues and execute corrective measures pre-flight to guarantee safe operation in the air.
  • Remove, repair, inspect, install, and modify aircraft fuel systems, including integral fuel and water cell tanks, bladder cells, and external tanks.
  • Clean fuel cells and tanks, inspecting for foreign objects, corrosion, deterioration, and fungus.
  • Ensure all work performed on any aircraft or component adheres to:
    • Applicable airworthiness standards and OEM guidelines.
    • Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Regulated safety standards.
  • Verify that all replacement parts are inspected, eligible, and certified before installation.
  • Ensure that removed parts are correctly tagged and sent to quarantine.
  • Conduct maintenance, repair, modification, and inspection of company aircraft as specified in the maintenance operations manual.
  • Complete and certify work reports for all tasks performed on the aircraft.
  • Follow company procedures as outlined in the maintenance operations manual, utilizing safe work practices.
  • Perform both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards.
  • Conduct Independent Checks when authorized as per company policies and procedures.
  • Perform Receiving Inspections when authorized, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • As an employee, you are responsible for:

    • Following safe work practices and procedures, using safeguards and personal protective equipment as necessary.
    • Reporting any hazards or potential safety risks to a supervisor immediately.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service.
  • Capability to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions, prescribed routines, and accepted practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated success in handling complex assignments requiring significant judgment, initiative, and specialized knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including effective interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license/certification preferred.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) certification is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree strongly preferred; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct Fuels Maintenance experience and training on F-16 aircraft.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, walk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is required to regularly work in both office and outdoor environments. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibrations and is often exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical hazards. The noise level is occasionally very loud.
