STS Technical Services is seeking skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our team.

Position Overview:

The role involves inspecting, repairing, assembling, and testing various aircraft components, including engines, hydraulic systems, and other critical parts, utilizing hand tools and diagnostic equipment while adhering to manufacturer specifications and internal protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections and specialized maintenance to avert mechanical failures in aircraft systems and components; perform comprehensive operational checks on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing, and control assemblies.
  • Assess components for repair or replacement; determine necessary repair strategies and procure required parts from inventory.
  • Repair and modify defective assemblies, implementing alterations as needed.
  • Adhere to established maintenance procedures, consulting FAA-approved guidelines and OEM technical documentation.
  • Seek assistance from the Maintenance Lead for technical challenges encountered during repairs.
  • Review completed work to identify any rework requirements; ensure that all repaired components meet industry standards.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired systems using specified testing equipment.
  • Complete documentation for work packages upon finishing designated tasks.
  • Submit work for review and inspection to the Maintenance Lead and Quality Assurance.
  • Provide performance metrics and operational data to supervisors as needed.
  • Accurately track time and materials utilized in maintenance activities.
Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A&P certification and structural experience preferred

Experience:

  • Non-Exempt FLSA status, requiring advanced skills to perform all standard tasks within the assigned technical area.
  • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance, with proficiency in one specific aircraft type.
  • Must possess recent experience in depot-level aircraft maintenance, including repair of mechanical systems and components; familiarity with OEM technical data and the use of power tools is essential.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tasks and responsibilities within the technical area.
  • Skills applicable across multiple technical domains.
  • Understanding of machinery and tools, including their maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining equipment.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance procedures.
  • Adept at interpreting manufacturer and FAA-approved work instructions; capable of inspecting and installing components.
