As the Senior Operations and Support Analyst, you will oversee and manage intricate analyses for Cash Operations, implementing strategies that enhance service quality. Your role will involve leading efforts to integrate, test, and execute solutions to meet desired outcomes. You will coordinate multiple intermediate to large-scale projects within the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (FRBC) and serve as a liaison between team members and management across functional areas.

You will be responsible for organizing activities to create and manage assigned budgets, monitoring and analyzing actual expenditures, and developing forecasts to authorize financial commitments. Additionally, you will assess future performance, manage purchasing activities, and interact with vendors. Utilizing your problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills, you will adapt to evolving business requirements while ensuring compliance and control within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses and projections (financial, performance, operational, and statistical) on complex projects, including data compilation, computations, result analysis, chart creation, report preparation, and validation of data accuracy; identify data issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely completion of goals within budget and with high quality; provide guidance, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts within project teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets and databases for the department, extracting necessary data from other systems; create metrics to monitor performance plans.
  • Coordinate and track the progress of the Cash department's strategy, key performance indicators (HPIs), and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Prepare briefing materials and presentations for Bank and Federal Reserve System management, presenting to senior leadership as required.
  • Lead initiatives to support departmental operations, financial processes, and efficiency improvement projects.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and analyze budget performance, review expenditures, process purchases, and prepare detailed reports on budget management.
  • Develop internal and external communications for stakeholder groups, utilizing innovative technologies to engage diverse audiences throughout the Bank.
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, return on investment assessments, cost/benefit evaluations, and best practice analyses to formulate business cases and recommendations for senior leadership; implement necessary changes.
  • May oversee testing and reporting on internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Provide guidance, prioritize tasks, and resolve conflicts within project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with departments to define and document current business processes and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Work with senior leaders to establish metrics and targets for evaluating organizational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies; certification is a plus.
  • Experience in specialized business analysis and project evaluation.
  • Proficient in data gathering, analysis, reporting, and coordinating project team efforts.
  • Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders, including executives and technical resources.
  • Independent thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Knowledge of banking operations is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technical applications quickly.
  • Strong internet navigation and research skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven relationship-building abilities.
