Construction Engineering Specialist

Position Summary:
The Construction Project Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting field operations at various job sites. This involves collaborating with the construction team and subcontractors to guarantee high-quality workmanship and effective coordination across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in understanding project designs, ensuring that construction adheres to project specifications, and supporting project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and planning.
- Oversee project execution, review technical drawings, provide updates on project status, monitor financials, and enhance communication among various project stakeholders.
- Research and stay informed about construction codes and regulations.
- Facilitate problem-solving, manage RFI submissions, participate in site meetings, and uphold safety standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in interpreting architectural, engineering, and civil drawings.
- Knowledgeable about construction industry terminology and practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in making independent decisions.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Preferred degree in Construction Management.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, estimating costs, and utilizing construction software.
- Experience working with third-party developers and local authorities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the construction field.
- OSHA training and GSWCC 1 certification preferred.
- Experience in site improvements and vertical construction is advantageous.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to work safely in construction settings, adapt to various weather conditions, and manage extended hours when necessary.
Work Environment:
Office located in a field trailer at construction sites.
Equipment Utilized:
Computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, and scanner.
