Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed numerical control programs for CNC machinery, ensuring efficient processing and manufacturing sequences.
  • Revise and update programs to accommodate engineering changes or enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to create effective work-holding methods.
  • Edit and refine programs directly on the manufacturing floor using machine-specific programming techniques.
  • Prepare and process technical drawings to support product manufacturing.
  • Maintain organized documentation of program revisions and related part information.
  • Prepare overlays for part inspections and ensure accurate programming information is communicated to production staff.
  • Adhere to the company's Quality Policy and comply with all relevant Quality Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required; vocational training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in numerical control programming and related machine shop activities.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
  • Background in CNC machining is preferred, with knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to independently program, set up, and operate jobs, including fixturing and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding GD&T principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of G and M codes, with the ability to edit programs as necessary.
  • Competent in performing mid-level mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in various computer applications.
