Key Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for leading Warehouse Supervisors and staff to uphold operational excellence in line with established compliance standards and procedures. Ensures that daily operations proceed as planned.
  • Assists the Assistant General Manager in resolving issues, assessing operational effectiveness, and suggesting improvements for work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to ensure the accurate and timely handling of products; optimizes warehouse layout for peak efficiency.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops Warehouse Supervisors to enhance their performance and operational efficiency.
  • Accountable for the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and guidance of staff to foster continuous support and development. Utilizes leadership skills to establish objectives for frontline teams and provides consistent performance feedback through available management resources.
  • Oversees hourly employees to guarantee adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Disciplinary Guidelines, and Attendance Policies.
  • Promotes and exemplifies a culture of safety leadership and recognition, ensuring full implementation of safety programs and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in leading an operations team.
  • Experience in customer service leadership, foodservice or route sales operations, performance management, and training of frontline personnel is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be capable of obtaining DOT certification for operating regulated vehicles.
  • Strong skills in client interaction, communication, organization, time management, multitasking, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications are essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently is also crucial.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and experience with perishable goods is required.
  • Background in industries such as vending, food service, or route distribution is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work various shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
