Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at OB Sports. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation of menu items and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of menu items in accordance with established standards and specifications.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including walk-in coolers and storage rooms.
  • Assist in the maintenance of prep for culinary stations and line usage.
  • Stock and rotate inventory as it arrives, ensuring accurate invoices.
  • Utilize advanced culinary skills to prepare menu items to the highest standards.
  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to health and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure safety standards are practiced at all times.
  • Execute recipe standards and specifications with precision.
Requirements
  • Grade school education or equivalent.
  • Local health and alcohol awareness certification.
  • Culinary degree or extensive experience in upscale food and beverage establishments.
  • Prior experience as a sous chef or working chef.
  • Strong banquet experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Current food service certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
  • Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a golf cart in a safe manner.
