Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at Subaru of America. Your primary focus will be on transforming financial data into actionable business insights to assist senior management in decision-making. You will work closely with our team to identify trends, assess performance metrics, and provide detailed insights to inform business decisions.

In this role, you will also be responsible for preparing detailed monthly invoices to our parent company for expenses related to warranty claims, recall campaigns, and legal matters. You will ensure accurate billing and timely submission of invoices.

You will leverage Oracle Projects module to execute necessary processes, gather and verify data, and perform essential uploads to facilitate the completion of the accounting close process.

Additionally, you will handle recording of all claims activity, including Added Security claims, and utilize IT systems and software tools to enhance the efficiency of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.

You will review and analyze all available claims data to accurately calculate and enter necessary journal entries, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the accounting close process.

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will develop and present detailed financial and operational reports and forecasts to Finance and business leadership stakeholders. You will create and deliver presentations that clearly communicate financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic recommendations.

You will apply analytical and technical skills to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable business insights. You will utilize charts, graphs, and other visual aids to enhance the understanding and communication of data findings.

You will ensure strict adherence to compliance requirements, including Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (JSOX), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and internal accounting policies.

You will stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

This is a hybrid role, with remote work 2 days per week after 90 days of onboarding.

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision plans, pension, profit sharing, and 401K match offerings, you will also receive 15 vacation days, 9 company holidays, 5 floating holidays, and 5 sick days.
