Job Summary

This Clinical Nurse II ICU position is an exciting opportunity to join the UNC Health Care team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provides competent clinical nursing care to patients in the ICU, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to professional standards.
  • Coordinates and delivers patient care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assesses patient needs, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient progress.
  • Participates in education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills, and shares expertise with colleagues to promote a culture of excellence.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of unit goals and performance improvement initiatives, and participates in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • One (1) year of nursing experience.

This position is employed by UNC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System.
