About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients in the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including 3D models and 2D drawings, using Autodesk Inventor and other design tools.
  • Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide estimates and quotes for new projects.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow in their roles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks.
  • Knowledge of hygienic product design and stainless steel or metal fabrication.
  • Project management experience, including cradle-to-grave projects.
  • USDA/3A regulatory experience in the food and beverage industry.
