As a key member of the Axens North America Maintenance Department, the Senior Mechanical Technician will play a crucial role in the Mechanical Group.
Position ExpectationsThe primary expectation for this role is to possess a solid understanding of various maintenance activities and to execute them with minimal supervision.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Mechanical Technician will be responsible for:
- Executing maintenance tasks related to unit turnarounds and ensuring the functionality of facility equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with essential reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to interpret and modify AutoCAD drawings for practical application.
- Certification in Swagelok Tube Bending and Thread Connections.
- Certification from Autoclave Engineering for coning and threading.
- Proficient knowledge of HTI pumps, including servicing tasks such as packing or gearing changes.
- Familiarity with the HTI bench unit hot check system, including part replacement and system reinstallation.
- Understanding of auxiliary equipment, including boilers, blowers, air compressors, and hydrogen compressors.
- Commitment to safety practices, participation in safety programs, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Proven track record of punctuality and absence management.
- Adherence to housekeeping standards for all assignments.
- Conducting scheduled inspections on company equipment as necessary.
- Availability for reasonable overtime as required.
- Responsiveness to emergency situations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hand tools essential for maintenance tasks.
- Capability to identify equipment issues and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to demonstrate all technical competencies listed and document them through established procedures.
