Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Residential Director to join our team at Seven Hills Foundation. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide day-to-day support services to program participants, facilitate on-site training and supervision of staff, and manage participants' funds and operational budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Care
    • Provide direct support services to participants, modeling appropriate strategies and promoting independence.
    • Ensure participants are treated with respect, dignity, and support to take control over routine activities.
    • Teach, assist, and support individuals in the community and at home to enhance their skills and status.
    • Support existing relationships and increase networks of friends and acquaintances.
    • Assist with household shopping and maintenance, promoting independence and control.
  • Staff Supervision and Program Leadership
    • Assist with supervising staff and act as a team leader, promoting teamwork and open communication.
    • Lead by example, role-modeling and coaching staff to achieve program goals.
    • Facilitate innovative problem-solving and promote a positive, constructive attitude.
    • Ensure transportation for clients using agency vehicles or staff personal vehicles as needed.
  • ISP and Care Plan Implementation
    • Implement ISP/Support Plans and strategies as written, promoting success and data collection.
    • Demonstrate accurate data collection procedures and consistent use of support strategies.
    • Monitor and maintain individual program books, ensuring accurate data collection.
    • Review data collection monthly and prepare written progress notes quarterly.
    • Attend ISP meetings and follow routines, including behavior support plans and therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Crisis Management
    • Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
    • Contact supervisors as needed in the event of concerns or crises.
    • Model therapeutically appropriate support strategies.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Assist in managing participants' funds and operational budgets.
    • Participate in Incident Review process as assigned.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of billable services and reconcile by deadlines.
    • Assist the Residential Director in planning and scheduling staff, maintaining staffing budgets, and monitoring services.
    • Ensure compliance with Rhode Island/Seven Hills policies and licensing regulations.
    • Follow the union contract and participate in On Call responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Prior direct care experience preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally, visually, and in writing.
  • Basic budgeting and mathematical skills.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate tact, good judgment, and initiative in interactions with participants, peers, family members, and stakeholders.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.
