Job Overview

Position: Senior Production Supervisor

As a Senior Production Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team in the food manufacturing sector. Your primary responsibility will be to guide new employees and temporary staff, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while upholding safety and quality benchmarks. You will inspire your team to surpass performance objectives and cultivate a supportive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding and training of new team members and temporary workers.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report any discrepancies or performance issues to management as needed.
  • Guarantee a safe working environment for all team members at all times.
  • Uphold quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and uniformity to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Oversee the completion of changeover processes to improve product quality.
  • Assist management in enhancing team development through essential training.
  • Encourage and motivate the team to achieve and exceed daily performance targets.
  • Engage with team members respectfully to boost morale and enhance productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report timekeeping patterns and behaviors to management.
  • Support directives from management regarding production performance.
  • Comply with all company policies and actively seek improvement opportunities in operational areas.
  • Guide employees in adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Perform tasks of supervised associates as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment, following safety protocols.
  • Complete assigned responsibilities with minimal oversight.
  • Report any food safety and quality issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of entry-level managerial experience in food production.
  • Experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings is required.
  • Availability for weekends, overtime, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds repeatedly, bend, and perform physical tasks.
  • Capability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures, including cold environments.
