Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer specializing in marine systems. This role involves providing comprehensive installation, technical assistance, and training on Garmin and Fusion Entertainment Marine products to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their dealers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Garmin products, focusing on marine and entertainment systems.
  • Understand boat systems and automotive electrical frameworks.
  • Travel to client locations to deliver on-site support for marine installations.
  • Conduct training sessions on the proper installation, calibration, and operation of Garmin Marine and Fusion Entertainment products.
  • Assist in diagnosing issues with Garmin products and compile monthly reports on support activities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams during OEM and dealer visits, providing technical insights for product specifications.
  • Respond to technical inquiries from customers and installers regarding Garmin and Fusion Entertainment products.
  • Monitor and document failure trends in equipment, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Review technical documentation for accuracy and clarity.
  • Communicate with Product Support to relay field issues and solutions.
  • Represent Garmin and Fusion Entertainment at various events and training sessions.
  • Ensure installations adhere to Garmin’s quality standards.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy while on-site with OEM associates.
  • Provide troubleshooting support in manufacturing environments.
  • Train client personnel on the installation and use of Garmin Marine and Fusion Entertainment equipment.
  • Coordinate with production schedules and manage priorities effectively.
  • Document work performed and track failure trends for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent military/trade school training, or a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in marine audio or electronic equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and a proactive problem solver.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with a Marine OEM or in marine electronics installation.
