Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Milieu Counselor to join our team at Focus Behavioral Health. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care and support to at-risk youth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in improving their behaviors and meeting their treatment goals through individual and group therapy sessions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Provide guidance and support to clients in daily chores, homework, and life skills training.
- Conduct daily group sessions, including status and offense-specific groups, to promote positive behavior and growth.
- Assist with family visitation and promote healthy relationships between clients and their caregivers.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Develop and maintain a direct line of supervision with clients to prevent underground communication and promote positive behavior.
Requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and knowledge of behavioral health principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
