Job Title: Residential Milieu Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Milieu Counselor to join our team at Focus Behavioral Health. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic care and support to at-risk youth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in improving their behaviors and meeting their treatment goals through individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients in daily chores, homework, and life skills training.
  • Conduct daily group sessions, including status and offense-specific groups, to promote positive behavior and growth.
  • Assist with family visitation and promote healthy relationships between clients and their caregivers.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Develop and maintain a direct line of supervision with clients to prevent underground communication and promote positive behavior.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and knowledge of behavioral health principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
