Job Overview:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company's operational efficiency by overseeing various facets of the order fulfillment cycle, particularly focusing on kitting assembly lines and the relevant machinery for the Jefferson Road Operations Center. This position demands a collaborative spirit while also requiring the ability to work independently when addressing operational support inquiries or executing proactive tasks. The individual will be tasked with effectively developing and sustaining production methodologies, fostering improvements in these systems, and applying structured problem-solving techniques to address production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and enhance assembly methodologies for both new and existing products, including the development of fixtures/tooling, programming of automated equipment, and PLCs.
  • Generate and uphold process documentation and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with fellow Engineers and Operators to pinpoint and execute process enhancements and projects.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving strategies to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Participate in change control boards to manage product and process modifications.
  • Assist in production validation builds for newly introduced or modified processes.
  • Engage with vendor and subcontractor representatives as necessary.
  • Establish and enforce production system standards, including staffing models, while providing training to Engineers and Technicians.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Skills:
  • Self-motivated individual capable of functioning with minimal oversight in a dynamic environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, production methodologies, technical standards, and assembly machinery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly processes, including fixture design, robotics/automation, and mechanical process equipment.
  • Lean Six Sigma training, ideally with Yellow or Green Belt certification.
